Fyang Smith to launch debut album ‘Forever Fyang’ on June 22

Almost a year after being named the “Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11” Big Winner, Fyang Smith is taking on a new challenge as she launches her first music album, “Forever Fyang,” on June 22 at the New Frontier Theater.
“Super excited and I hope magawa ko ‘yung gusto kong gawin na hindi alam ng mga tao na ginagawa ko kasi super hectic ng schedule, hindi ko alam paano magpa-practice. So sana makapag-piano ako,” Fyang shared ahead of her big night.
Admittedly, music may not have been her original path — but the reality star remains grateful for the opportunity to show a different side of her artistry.
“Aminado naman po ako sa lahat na hindi ko forte ‘yung pagkanta and super open po talaga ako dun — na ‘pag may nagsasabi ng ‘hala bakit may concert, bakit may album launch,’ mga ganyan… well, I’m trying my best para maganda ‘yung paggawa ng kanta,” she added.
Adding to the excitement is the participation of Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, one of Fyang’s biggest idols.
“Super idol ko talaga sa pagkanta si Ms. Regine and siya ‘yung isa sa mga tinitingala ko na singers here in the Philippines. Nung nalaman ko na pumayag siya mag-guest… kayo na lang po mag-concert, manunuod na lang ako,” she said, laughing.
The launch will also feature performances from her close friends and fellow artists JM Ibarra, Rain Celmar, Kolette Madelo, Kai Montinola, and more surprise guests.
