Marian Rivera’s ex-classmate recalls their catfight: Binuhusan ako ng soft drink
The actress’ former classmate clarifies all is now well between them

Ivy Manzon-Bo, a former classmate and close friend of Marian Rivera, revealed they once got suspended from school after a quarrel that involved the actress pouring a soft drink on her.
While all is now well between them, Manzon-Bo said she was reminded of the incident after she saw Rivera’s March interview with Karen Davila.
In the interview, the actress said she had already forgiven the women she had misunderstandings with in the past — although she was referring to those who were apparently linked to her actor husband Dingdong Dantes.
Manzon-Bo then took to her Facebook page to narrate the quarrel she and Rivera had in high school, calling it a petty fight among teenagers. Her post, however, seemed to have been taken down.
Manzon-Bo said that one of their classmates ignited a fight between the two of them supposedly because of jealousy. Rivera apparently confronted Manzon-Bo, then poured a soft drink on her and pulled her hair.
However, another misunderstanding arose when they were schoolmates in college. Manzon-Bo said a “so-called friend” of Rivera accused her of calling the actress “stupid.”
For the second time, Manzon-Bo said they were able to mend their differences and patch things up. She noted that they even saw each other again and exchanged pleasantries during Rivera’s “Marimar” stint.
“People change. Everyone changes as they age,” Manzon-Bo said.Article continues after this advertisement

She also clarified that she has no intentions of putting the actress in a bad light, in response to netizens bombarding her with foul remarks after she shared her experience.
“I don’t think it would affect what Marian is now. Marian is Marian!” Manzon-Bo said. “I shared my story because it is mine to tell and I have all the right to speak my mind! It may be cringe but it is real and none of it were made up.”
Rivera has yet to comment on the matter as of this writing. /ra
